GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Tokat Health School, which was established with the Council of Ministers numbered 96/8655 decree published in the Official Gazette dated November 2, 1996, numbered 22805, became active in the 1997-1998 academic year. Our school was closed on April 8, 2016, with the Council of Ministers decree numbered 2016/8562, and turned into a “Faculty of Health Sciences”.
There are 28 academic staff including 5 Associate Professors, 16 Assistant Professors, 1 Lecturers and 6 Research Assistants in the Department of Nursing. The department has 3 classrooms and 2 skill laboratories.
Students take courses in three groups: basic science courses, vocational courses and courses related to social sciences. In addition to the compulsory courses in the curriculum, there are also elective courses that students can choose according to their own preferences. Theoretical courses are held in the Faculty classrooms. Applied courses vary according to the content and requirements of the course and are carried out in cooperation with Gaziosmanpaşa University Faculty of Medicine Research and Application Hospital, Tokat State Hospital and all other public institutions and organisations. The applications of vocational courses are carried out by responsible lecturers.
