MASTER'S PROGRAM IN PSYCHIATRIC NURSING
Psychiatric Nursing Master's Program started to provide education under the Department of Nursing, with the approval of the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education dated 04.12.2020, in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year within the Directorate of Graduate Education Institute of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University.
In this program, the student aims to apply knowledgeable, educative, practitioner, and researcher psychiatric nursing care to the health and diseases of people and societies.
The learning objectives of the program include;
-To develop theoretical and professional knowledge in the field of psychiatric nursing by using critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning,
-To develop a new idea, method, design, and/or application that brings innovation to the field of specialization or to transfer a known idea, method, design, and/or application to a different field and to investigate the results,
-To fulfill the responsibility of producing qualified, scientific data and evidence specific to psychiatric nursing by working independently and/or as a team to plan, conduct, report, and publish research,
-To use information and care technologies effectively in psychiatric nursing activity areas,
-To respect human rights and dignity in the fields of psychiatric nursing, to act by professional values and ethical principles,
To provide nursing care for the individual, family, or community with a holistic and systematic approach using theoretical and evidence-based data in psychiatric nursing to evaluate and report the effect of the care provided.
Psychiatric Nursing Graduate Program provides education with 2 Professors, 1 Associate Professor, and 2 Assistant Professors. The instructors carry out the course in all public institutions and organizations, especially Dr. Cevdet Aykan Mental Health and Diseases Hospital and Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Hospital.
MASTER'S PROGRAM IN PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING
Public Health Nursing Master's Program started to provide education under the Department of Nursing, with the approval of the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education dated 04.12.2020, in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year within the Directorate of Graduate Education Institute of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University.
In this program, the student aims to gain knowledge in public health nursing, transfer the knowledge gained to the field of application, and contribute to the field by conducting scientific research.
Among the teaching objectives of the program are taking the person as a whole with his / her environment, making students understand the awareness that individuals in the society have their health responsibility from pre-birth to death, making the physical, biological, social, cultural, cultural, economic, psychological and environmental factors that play a role in the formation of diseases positive and reducing or eliminating negative factors, protecting and improving the health of individuals without getting sick, identifying those who are sick at an early stage and helping them to receive diagnosis and treatment services, and creating a branch of service and a branch of science that teaches this philosophy. It covers interdisciplinary approaches to public health nursing, epidemiology, biostatistics, health management, and services. Environmental health, behavioral science, health economics, health policy, occupational health, maternal and child health, and epidemiology of communicable and non-communicable diseases are other important areas covered by public health. The Master's Program educates one professor, three associate professors, and three doctoral faculty members.
MASTER'S PROGRAM IN CHILD HEALTH AND DISEASES NURSING
Child Health and Diseases Nursing Master's Program started to provide education under the Department of Nursing, with the approval of the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education with the decision numbered 13603 and dated 06.07.2020, in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year within the Directorate of Graduate Education Institute of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University.
This program, the student; It is aimed at training science specialist nurses who are equipped with evidence-based knowledge in the process of clinical decision-making in the protection and development of child / newborn health and the treatment, rehabilitation, and care of sick children/newborns, with evidence-based information, with an optimal level of holistic care, family-centered and traumatic care philosophy, ethical values, adequate equipment in the analysis and synthesis of information. In addition, the basic philosophy of our department is to gain nurses who have reached the universal level of scientific research in the field of Pediatric Nursing and who have the qualifications of universal scientists who are knowledgeable, enlightened, competent, and expert nurses on a national and international scale.
Program qualifications include;
1. Knowing the developmental characteristics of childhood and being able to evaluate these characteristics of the child according to developmental theories
2. To be able to use holistic and family-centered approaches in child-related practices
3. To be able to plan and manage the care process by involving the family in line with the care needs of the healthy and sick child and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing practices
4. To be able to act by children's rights, ethical and legal responsibilities
5. To be able to reflect evidence-based knowledge and skills related to the field in clinical practice
6. To be able to examine the research related to the field, to be able to plan and conduct new research individually / as a team
7. To be able to analyze healthcare systems, health policies, and factors affecting them
8. To be able to use information and maintenance technology in the field
9. Ability to be part of a multidisciplinary team and work in collaboration
10. To develop theoretical and professional knowledge by using critical thinking, problem-solving, and lifelong learning in the field of education, research, and practice related to the field.

Internal Medicine Nursing Master's Program started to provide education under the Department of Nursing, with the approval of the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education dated 06.12.2021, in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, within the Directorate of Graduate Education Institute of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University.
This program the student; It is aimed to train specialist nurses who have reached the universal level of education and research in the field of internal medicine nursing, who have universal scientist qualifications, and who are knowledgeable, enlightened, competent, and competent on a national and international scale.
Among the learning objectives of the program are to be able to develop knowledge in the field at the level of expertise, to conduct research, to produce solutions by taking responsibility, to gain the competence to transfer the developments in the field and their studies in written, oral or visual form.
Internal Medicine Nursing Master's Program educates one professor, two associate professors, and one doctoral faculty member. The course is implemented in all public institutions and organizations, especially Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Hospital and Erbaa State Hospital, and is carried out by the teaching staff.
MASTER'S PROGRAM IN WOMEN'S HEALTH AND DISEASES NURSING
Women's Health and Diseases Nursing Master's Program has started to provide education under the Department of Nursing, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Graduate Education Institute Directorate.
This program aims to train nurses who can protect and improve women's health and family and community health in general and apply treatment and rehabilitation services during illness with advanced specialist knowledge and skills.
Among the learning objectives of the program are to train graduates who have the skills of accessing, presenting, sharing, and discussing information, are open to innovations, are able to produce solutions by applying current analytical tools in the face of problems, and have professional and ethical values, and have strong communication skills.
Women's Health and Diseases Nursing Master's Program provides education with 2 Associate Professors and 4 Doctoral Faculty Members. The teaching staff carries out teaching and implements the course in all public institutions and organizations, including Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Research and Application Hospital and Tokat State Hospital.
